Baby Shower

Saturday afternoon was Amber's first baby shower. It was a great success. We had the shower in the cafeteria of the church where she works. There were about about 35 people there which included family and a few of her close friends and the girls from work. I'm hesitant to post pictures of anyone other than family. She got most of the essentials that she needs. Between baby clothes she saved from Kati and those Nicole has sent her, she's in good shape as far as the clothes.

The theme of the party was polka dots.
One layer of the cake was chocolate and one vanilla.

This is Amber's Mom, Sharon.

This is Allyson, Amber's sister.

Here's Terrie, my niece who got married 3 weeks ago.
Her daughter, Katie got engaged on January 12,
on her birthday. They are planning a July wedding.
Katie had to work and couldn't attend the shower.

This is Kim, my niece with her granddaughter Reese. Doesn't Kim
look too young to be a MawMaw? And, do you realize Reese
is my great, great niece. Doesn't that make me sound old?

This is my niece Lisa who is Kim's sister.

Next weekend the church where Amber grew up is having her another shower. I'm planning on attending and looking forward to meeting the people that have know Amber all her life.

I can't believe it's been a week since I wrote a post or came by to visit. I've been busy this week with the shower, studying Esther and reading everything I can find on quilt making. I'm wanting to make a queen size quilt; however I think I need to do another small project before I dive into something that big. I thought I might do place mats or a table runner for my kitchen.

Hey Linda, nice post. Those are great photos. Your neice doesn't look old enough to be a ma ma, neither does my daughter. I'll be posting photos of Sierra's baby shower also. Her family is having her a shower and we will have her one a couple of weeks after that one. We are getting excited. I'm sure you are too.

I love the way you change your header and should probably think about creating new headers for one or more of my blogs, but have no idea when I'll get around to it. I enjoyed the photos ... agree with Shirley that moms look way too young these days (but so do my doctors).
Hugs and blessings,
