Last night was my first night for studying the book of Esther with Beth Moore. This study is entitled "It's Tough Being a Woman". If you have never taken a Beth Moore bible study I want to know, what are you waiting for?!?!?
We have a large group of 25-30 ladies. Looking around the room I didn't know one single lady except for the moderator. My church is large for such a small town. We have two Sunday morning services to accommodate all the members. I go to the late 10:30 service because I'm not a morning person.
One of the ladies in the group will be going to Haiti on a missionary trip in the near future. Someone asked her if there were any items she needed us to collect for her trip. She said she needed the generic Monistat because the women suffer with yeast infections. She went on to say she goes into the Dollar Store and picks up every tube they have and is looked at curiously. Then she asks when will they be getting their next shipment. The entire room roared with laughter. This is a fun example of the problems women encounter.
When I got home last night I couldn't wait to start my bible study. I began thinking back to when I was in school and thought how marvelous it would have been to have electrifying teachers who would inspire us to run home and dive into diagramming that sentence or write a report on the Elizabethan era. Since I can't go back in time I will dive into the study of Esther with great enthusiasm.

I'm so excited Linda, because I just WON this entire study set on our local radio station!! I'm going to lead it at our church and I can't WAIT!!
I'll be watching your updates with much anticipation.
Blessings,
Susan
Beth Moore is fantastic, and Esther is such a good study.
What a coincidence. Last evening I attended the first meeting of a bible study group at our church. We live in a small community and I knew everyone (all ladies) that attended. I am not familiar with Beth Moore but am interested in learning more about her. I'll do a web search.
Hugs,
Sweetie
Of all the bible studies I've gone to, I've never managed to attend a Beth Moore study. Something always comes up whenever one is going on and I can't participate for one reason or another!
Enjoy your study... I have screen shots for my little tutorial but don't know when I'll get it done as I am off to watch my Louisiana granddaughters for a couple of days so my daughter can get away for a few days! Enjoy your study and the group!
It has been eons since I been to a bible study, this sounds like fun.
It also also has been awhile since I came a visiting to your blog, endless problems one right another kept me away....Glad I could come visiting today.
Hey Linda, that sounds just fantastic. I'd love to attend a Bible study like that. You are blessed!
