Most of you know that I can’t function in the mornings without my coffee. I am by no means a coffee snob; I don’t do the fancy Starbucks very often. Coming back from Charlotte a couple weeks ago I drove thru a Mickey D’s (yes, I know these burgers are bad for you, but there’s not much choice when traveling) and saw they were carrying Iced Coffee. Hmmm I thought!!! With all the heat and humidity I thought I would give it a try since I think Mickey D’s hot coffee is the best at the fast food places. WOW!!!! Have you tried these? It was greaaaat, as Tony the Tiger might say.
I’m not about to go racing to Mickey D’s every morning to indulge in their Iced Coffee, so I thought I would try to recreate this wonder at home. I prepared a little more coffee than I usually drink, had my usual two cups of hot coffee and then poured a cup over ice. I needed two Sweet and Lows or Splenda’s, and a dab of milk. Folks, this is good!!! Yesterday I went grocery shopping and picked up some flavored creamer. I don't usually use milk or creamers in my coffee, so I didn't have any on hand. This morning I added the creamer instead of the milk and this is also good.
Are you addicted to coffee? Are you a Starbucks junky? Have you tried Mickey D’s Iced Coffee? Or, are you like me; you create your own wonder at home?

I like COFFEE but dont get over involved in it anymore especially because of my acid reflux....I should try what you said about iced coffee here at home...never thought about it...sandy
Idont drink coffee! But Kelly Loves the stuff!! I will tell her about what you found!!
Just wanted to tell you again how great your blog looks!!
Hi, quintessential coffee snob here. I DO do Starbucks (and the baristas at my local joint often give me their discount), but I make my own at home too, sometimes sprinkling a little cinnamon over the grounds before I actually brew them.
I read in a recent survey Mickey D's coffee ranked right up there with Starbucks and for quite a bit less money!
try putting it i the blender to chop it up.... have a nice weekend
