I'm a Winner

Look what came in the mail yesterday.

I bet you are wondering what is in this cute valentine bag.

I recently entered a contest "Whirl Into Winter Giveaway" on Quilting Nanny's blog to win this adorable picture quilt. Since making the baby quilt I've been bitten by the quilting bug. If you are wondering why I haven't been blogging much lately, I've been reading everything I can find on quilting.

Not only did I receive this precious picture quilt, also included in the Valentine bag was a pattern to make other sewing projects, 4 fat quarter fabrics and other sewing items, an adorable Trick or Treat pattern bag for one of my grandbabies, (I'm going to have to find more of these so all my grandbabies can have their own bag), a magnetic note pad, an angel pin, craft buttons, a red heart case for my rotary cutter, another case for my scissors made from a potholder, pin cushion, yellow quilted quilting journal, covered photo album, green tissue holder and much more. Do you see those little pony tail holders in the lower right hand corner? There are to be put over your bobbins to keep the threads from falling off the bobbins. How clever is that?

When Sandy, at Quilting Nanny contacted me about winning her giveaway we learned that we are neighbors.....well, almost. She lives in Parkersburg, WV which is about 2 1/2 hours from me. We are going to work on getting together sometime this summer. This will be my first opportunity to meet a blogger. You need to stop by Sandy's to see all the marvelous quilting projects she has made. She is a seasoned quilter!!!! You can also see individual photos of all the goodies I received.

I am so overwhelmed winning all these lovely goodies. Thanks so much Sandy.

Congratulations, Linda, on your win. I have never learned to quilt. I think quilts are pretty but just never had the desire to learn.

Have a good weekend, Linda.

Congratulations Linda... I'm hoping to win something today myself. I entered The Ugly Mug contest at 2nd Cup Of Coffee and hope to win a Starbucks gift card.

Stop by if you get a chance and take a look at my ugly mug.

I have been busy and just cannot get around to seeing everyone that I love to visit..So while I was gone you have been quilting..good for you. i tried that a long time ago and was not the best at it. My mother has made a lot of quilts and her grandmother before her but I am just not good at it...You sound like you are really enjoying it though..good for you...Sandy
Oh and congrats on winning this prize..right up your alley!!

Thanks for taking the time to visit and then to go vote for me Linda! If all my technically challenged friends had figured out how to vote I might have had a chance... but it was fun and I enjoyed telling the story of my ugly mug!
