Inspiration is one thing that I've been unable to find for blogging. I've been keeping busy but I feel my daily stuff hasn't been blog worthy.
I must tell you about a conversation I had with my grandson Campbell whose birthday was on Monday. I called him Monday evening to wish him a happy birthday. He had not received my present to the conversation went like this.
"Hi MawMaw, are you going to send me a present?"
"Yes sweetheart, it's in the mail and you should get it tomorrow. Will you forgive me for getting it in the mail late?"
"How much was Carson's legos?"
"They were about $100".
"Does PawPaw have bills?"
"He has a few."
"Will you ask him to give you bills so you can buy me Legos like Carson?"
"Don't you like the Legos I got you for Christmas?"
"Ask PawPaw to give you bills."
I got both boys the large Lego sets for Christmas. For Carson I got the Agents which has over 1000 pieces and for Campbell the Indiana Jones because he loves Indiana Jones, which had about 800 pieces. I felt I needed to get both boys large sets so Campbell wouldn't feel slighted. After talking to Nicole I learned Carson, who is 8, put his set together in just a few days and was able to play with it and Campbell has been unable to assemble his set. She said Carson was going to help Campbell put his set together then he'll be able. I felt so bad.

Wednesday was my day to pick Kati up from school. When we got home we were trying to decide what to do. I don't have toys here for her to play with so I suggested we go to Walmart and pick up a few things for her to keep here. When we pulled into the parking lot Amber called and said she was on her way to get Kati because it was snowing in Charleston and she was afraid it would be bad to drive later. I told her we just pulled into Walmart so she said she would meet us there. By the time we finished our shopping there was about 2 inches of snow. The wind was blowing and we could hardly see a few feet in front of us. I live maybe 2 miles from Walmart so I knew I could make it home, but I was worried about Amber and Kati until we crossed I-64 and there was barely any snow. That was less than 1/2 mile. Guess the weatherman knows what he is talking about when he says snow north of I-64. lol Thursday morning we woke to about 2 inches and since the temperatures have been low the snow is still here.
Thanks for reading my babbling! I need some INSPIRATION!!!

I've been fighting for quite a while to find something inspiring to write about. For me, I think it is more a matter of making the uninspired day seem inspiring. Does that make sense?
Enjoy your snow Linda. I wouldn't mind a little snow here as long as we don't lose power, cable or my internet connection! LOL
Every part of life is grist to the bloggers mill - I think its reading about the ordinary things of each others lives that make us feel we know one another, don't you?
I am trying to learn to retranslate "ordinary",
"uneventful" even "uninspiring" as "peaceful"
I don't know about you, but its only when drama hits me that I tend to see that these mundane days were an unregnized blessing.
On another tack, snow looks so beautiful - we don't have it here in Cape Town, of course. I am a little envious of those who can experience.
Hi Linda,
I enjoyed your Friday Fill-ins. You know, I had the same sort of problem with Mckenzie and Hannah with one of their Christmas gifts. Now, Mckenzie is my older son's daughter, and Hannah is one of my daughter's daughter. One of the gifts I got both girls were these little popular watches. I bought Mckenzie a High School Musical watch and Hannah a Hannah Montana watch. But Hannah would have liked the High School Musical watch better, she told me. I felt bad!
Snow? We've had nothing but episodes of freezing rain, which is worse than snow. That may be rectified next week when an arctic cold front might be bringing some snow our way! So I might be babbling about the weather again. LOL.
Have a great weekend!
Renie
Hey Linda,
I know what you mean about needing inspiration. I get that way often. You know, after reading other blogs, which I enjoy doing, I feel that my life is just so boring. But, on the other hand, I like what Allie says in her comment about the ordinary things of our lives. She may have something there. So, inspired or not, maybe we should just start writing. Hey, enjoy your weekend!
send me an email to iluvmynonna@yahoo.com. I decided to set my blog to private but want you to have access.
I loved your little conversation with Campbell. What a sweet child!
I miss my grandchildren who live in Atlanta. I get so homesick to see them. We do get to see them on the web cam but it isn't like being there.
Enjoy your snow.
Some days, it really is hard to find something to write about, isn't it?
I love the names Carson and Campbell.
Hi Linda,
I love your new header. You are so smart to make those different ones for your blog.
My Mom's grandkids called her MawMaw, too, and she liked that. I just wish my grandkids had called me that instead of Granny - sounds so old, lol!!
I, too, need to get inspired to blog more often. Like you, I don't really feel my writings would be that interesting to anyone else. I may just start jotting down whatever is on my heart and hope others won't be too bored with it.
Have a good week.
I hope by now your snow has melted.
