What Happend to Fall?

Two short weeks ago the temperatures were in the upper 80's and today we will be lucky to reach 40 and tonight lows will be in the 20's. Brrrrr! I'm not complaining because I prefer the cool weather.

Yesterday I had surgery on my leg to remove a basal cell cancer. Next week I go back to have the bandage changed and the following week to have the stitches removed. The doctor also removed one of my skin blisters for another biopsy. She took a deep specimen because I have one stitch in it. Until the stitches come out I can't get the bandage wet, do any lifting, and must stay off my leg as much as possible. I woke up this morning with a cold, so I'm not thinking too much about my leg today.

Awwww...hope you're feeling better soon. And praying that the biopsy comes out totally clean.

Hugs,

Susan

P.S. Here in FL, we're going crazy cause it's "so cold"...my temp says 59 degrees and the sun is shining. You'd think it was 20!!!

I am glad that your surgery went okay yesterday and that you are taking it easy today. I am so sorry that you have a cold! I am popping Vitamin C's because I am afraid with the change in temperatures that I could get one too.

I pray that this biopsy is negative and you won't have to go through this again.

{hugs} Linda, hope it all turns out alright. Skin cancer is in my genes, unfortunately, I haven't been affected yet, but it's only a matter of time. It's such a pain!!

Interesting … our weather’s been more like SUMMER here in So Cal … with temperatures in the 80s and 90s for the past few weeks coupled with very low humity. I want some RAIN!!! My sister (a redhead who spent way too much time in the sun when we were younger) sees the dermatologist 3-4 times a year and gets similar treatment … so I can ‘relate’ to the way you’re feeling today. Hope you can take it easy and get over that cold before it settles in because methinks there are a couple of ‘lingering’ bugs making the rounds. I take vitamin C and drink lots of water to help ME fight off ‘bugs’ … and REST really helps too. I'm holding positive thoughts about the biopsy.
Hugs and blessings,
