Empty Nest

I'm suffering empty nest syndrome. The kids left Sunday evening and I was so tired I didn't do a thing after they left. I spent yesterday getting the house back into order.

This empty nest is not going to last long. I'm off to Charlotte early tomorrow morning. I learned Nicole and Bret sold their house last week and have to be out next Thursday. Their new house was not ready so Bret has been working with the builder to speed things up. Now they will be able to move in next Thursday afternoon.

They were going to have the movers do all the packing but have learned it is going to be extremely on such short notice and this is the busiest moving time of the year. SO, I'm going down to help get some things packed. They are still going to have the movers pack the more difficult stuff. Not only will they be closing on two houses on Thursday and moving into their new house, Nicole has to attend Carson and Campbell's open house at school.

Brian is leaving for the beach on Friday and I have to take care of his cats and Kati's turtles. Hubby can go over and check on them until I get back. Nicole's dad will be going down for the actual move.

When I get back I'll post about their visit and the packing adventure.

Right now all I'm thinking about is getting my laundry done, packing and getting a good night sleep for my trip tomorrow.

I hope everyone is doing well and I will get around to visit when I get back. It seems like it has been so long since I visited, but know I've been thinking of each one of you.

You sound so busy! Hasn't this summer just flown by? I know your daughter will really appreciate your help. Safe travels and see you when you return.

Hey Linda!! Just the gal that I waved at yesterday but you might not have seen me!! Smile!! I sent you a note on facebook and today i wrote about it on my blog!! We went by your house yesterday!! i would have loved to have stopped but we needed to keep going. I would not have known how to get in touch with you anyway!! We were on 64 East and went by Hurricane signs!!
We are here in Va now with Kathy and Charlie from Lazy Daisy!! I know how it is to miss your kids!! You will get back in that "old Mode" soon.
