Mystery

Have you ever lost something of value and then got a big pain in your stomach? That is what happened to me this evening. A few nights ago I recorded a movie to watch later and I thought tonight would be a good night to watch it. I came into the bedroom to watch the movie, because it was one hubby wouldn't want to see.

While watching the movie I thought I could clean out my jewelry box while watching the movie. This has been on my to do list for several weeks. I just dumped everything out on the bed and began sorting through everything. I keep my better jewelry in individual jewel boxes. There were several pieces I put in one pile to discard. I keep my old diamond and Mom's wedding set and her rings in a small drawstring jewelry bag. When I looked in that bag my old diamond was missing. I went back though everything I was throwing out, checked the bed carefully and couldn't find it. Also missing is a nice necklace and earrings that I bought to go with a specific outfit I got at Talbot's.

I couldn't imagine what happened to those pieces. Unable to concentrate on the movie, I went into my closet where I use to keep my jewelry box and began looking on the floor. Yes, I do vacuum the closet but it has been awhile since I have moved everything from beneath the shelves. Well, lo and behold, there was my diamond ring. How in the world did it get behind a couple shoe boxes? I guess that is a mystery I will never solve. Anyway, I feel so much better. I still haven't found the necklace and earring set, but tomorrow I will go through some of my traveling bags. Perhaps I took it on a trip and didn't unpack it. That is certainly not has important as my diamond ring. Needless to say, I will need to watch the movie again.

I'm glad you found your diamond. I lose things all the time, but more everyday things. Now where did I put my glasses? LOL

I hope you find your other missing jewelry!
