Thursday Thirteen

Today is brought to you by the letter "B"

1. Babble - If you read my blog, you know I have a tendency to babble and babble about everything and nothing.

2. Beach - I would love to have beach front property. The ocean has a mysterious power over me that brings calmness to my soul. We had a timeshare at South Daytona Beach Shores for close to 15 years and we sold it a couple years ago.

3. Bargain - I am always looking for a good bargain. I just hate to spend retail for anything I buy. And, now that it looks like we are moving into a recession, I will be bargain hunting even more.

4. Beard - Shhhh, don’t tell anyone. I found a hair on my chin last week. Does this mean I am growing a beard? OH, I hope not.

5. Birth - My daughter just gave birth to my 4th grandchild, Caramia on February 9, 2008.

6. Bed - It had been several years since I bought a new bed and my back was telling me this. Last year I invested in a new bed and have been sleeping so good. The mattress is so thick I had problems finding sheets to fit the bed. I need at least a 20” pocket to cover the mattress. Most sheets have 18” pockets.

7. Bonnet - With Easter just around the corner I am reminded of shopping for my Easter Bonnet. Every Easter I would buy a new suit, shoes, gloves and hat all to match. Wonder why that tradition is no longer practiced.

8. Bread - Fresh baked bread, right out of the oven, smeared with butter. Yummy!! Can you smell it now? I go through spells where I will make homemade bread every week and I make good bread if I must say so myself. Bread is my enemy when I’m watching my weight, but hey….a little fresh bread now and then is not going to hurt me.

9. Brush - I use to brush my hair 100 strokes every night. Now I do well to brush my hair once a day. Lol

10. Broccoli - This is one of my favorite vegetables, along with asparagus. Hubby doesn’t like either one, so when I fix one of these I over indulge, but that’s ok…no calories here.

11. Beer - I really enjoy a cold beer when it is hot outside. That is about the only time I will drink one. Beer is also good for your hair. I use to rinse my hair in beer years ago. I should try it again, but then I would have to go buy some, hmm.

12. Blossoms - It won’t be long until the trees and flowers will come into full bloom and I can take in the beauty of their blossoms.

13. Because - Seems like this is a word I used so much when my kids were young. “Why are we going to the store”, “Because we need groceries, “Why do I need a bath”, “Because you are dirty”. Why, why, why and because, because, because. Maybe that word is why I enjoyed the movie “Because I said So”. I could really relate to that.

Have I told you how much I love "Alpahbet Soup" posts? Or how much I love it when you babble??? ;-)

Happy TT!

I enjoyed reading your TT. I'm doing the ABC's, too.

I can relate to most everything you said here, but I had to laugh out loud to the one where you said you found a hair on your chin. Well, I must tell you that when I out grew my temper, I also out grew having hair show up on my chin. Be patient, Linda, you will get there. I hope this encourages you somewhat, lol.

I love fresh baked bread too. Years ago, in London, I used to catch my bus to work in the mornings outside a bakery, and the smell of fresh baked bread, as we waited for the bus, mad everyone feel very hungry!

Hi Linda,

I love your list of B things. I cannot imagine brushing 100 times! I, too, am lucky if I run a brush through my hair once a day.

Have a great one!

:-) Susan
