March 18: HEADS - Any part of (or place in) a house

I, like many other people, would love, love, love to have a kitchen like the one from the movie "Somethings Got to Give". Months after I saw that movie I began seeing where people were designing their own kitchen after this one. To me it's the perfect kitchen, comfortable, warm, welcoming, open and light-filled. And I especially loved the big island with a bookcase which would give plenty of room for prepping meals. This is the one room of a house where people gather.

The kitchen has white glass-front cabinets, vintage hardware, a commercial-style range and dark soapstone counter tops. For those of you who don't know, I'm house hunting and a roomy kitchen with a large island is a requirement.

Nice kitchen - I wouldn't want glass cupboard doors because I'm not a neat freak...do love the bookshelves and the amazing amount of light. Fun!

Hi Linda, My kitchen was my pick for today's theme..It is not as big or grand as this one you are showing..I have never had a kitchen island...it would only give me more spaces to clutter....enjoy your day. hugs, baba

You´re right - that´s the perfect kitchen, Miss Linda!

I´d love to steal something from the huge island!

Happy HoT Tuesday!

I see....a huge cleaning job. Try and keep that clean all the time would be too much to ask for me. Give me a sink, a countertop, a stove and a dishwasher and I'm happy.

My H o T is posted, a place in my heart today is shared. Come by if you haven't already, I'd love to have you join me on my special day.

I fell head over feet in love when I first saw the kitchen in that movie (which is one of my favorite movies, too.)

I. Want. It. - but our kitchen is far too small to handle a design like this... that´s just another reason why I can´t wait to move. Counting the days to get a huge kitchen with an island like this. *g*

Very pretty but for me I do not like being in the kitchen much so i would rather have another room that was comfy and welcoming over a kitchen..just me you know. Sandy

After itsy little kitchens my entire adulthood, my kitchen (which is about 1/2 the size of that) is a dream! No room for an island, but plenty of room for everything that needs to be there. Can't ask for more than that...oh, wait...new cabinets. I think the ones we have are about 50 years old & have soaked up 50 years worth of other peoples' kitchen odors! Happy Tuesday. :)

I don't know what I'd do with a kitchen that big. But then there are just 2 of us here, but if you have a big family, that would really be a great place for everyone to get together.

That IS a beautiful kitchen! But it would still be a mess if it was mine. :)
I told my daughter today that kitchens should actually be an office. heehee I REALLY don't fit into the Susi Homemaking mold. *lol*

Thanks for stopping by my HorT.
