HEADS anything in the sky or space *OR" TAILS Anything in or under the water.

I'm going with HEADS - anything in the sky or space.

Being a West Virginia gal, I enjoy talking about my beautiful state every chance I get. Greenbank, WV is home to the world's largest fully steerable radio telescope, The Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope (GBT). The telescope sits at the heart of the United State's National Radio Quit Zone, an area where all radio transmissions are either limited or banned to help the telescope function properly.

My BIL has a camp at Greenbank and when we visit we always take a tour of the observatory. It amazes me just how big these telescopes really are. There are several telescopes scattered across the observatory. Hope you enjoy these pictures.

Wow they really built that thing out in nowhere- it must get great view without all the light pollution.

I liked the view from above it-very cool.
