Visit With My Son

I didn't make it over to Brian's until Tuesday afternoon. He took the afternoon off from work so he could get satellite Internet installed. Where he lives cable and DSL are not available. They are available one mile in either direction of his house, but the utilities have no plans on expanding in the near future.

The purpose of this visit was to share my lost treasures with him. Anyone reading my blog knows I recently found negatives from the late 60's early 70's, which included some of my kids baby pictures. I arranged these photos in an album and was so excited to show them to Brian. We sat at his breakfast nook and looked through each page. As he began looking through the pictures he said he remembered many of them. That was the only comment he made. After he closed the album I said, "Not one ooooo or ahhhhh". With his sheepish grin he gave me a very low "oooo". This should show he is a man of few words. Regardless of his lack of enthusiasm, I know he was pleased to see these pictures.

We had a quite rainy day yesterday. I ordered a Pay Per View movie, "Because I Said So" with Diane Keaton. I would highly recommend this movie, but I love Diane Keaton. We planned on going to the fireworks if the rain stopped, but we were experiencing a big downpour after dark.

I have one son and four daughters and the girls alway make a big deal over my stuff ! My son not so much! But you know on the inside they are making a big deal like you would like for them just to express to you!I am not a good writer like some of the people on the blog so I hope you know what I mean!

I'm sure he enjoyed the pictures! What a wonderful treasure to have found. I agree with talk...to..grams- he probably is making a "big deal" on the inside.

I'm sure Brian is thrilled inside. He doesn't show his emotions like his sister.

My husband is like that. I guess we can blame it on that "Mars and Venus" thing. (:^)
