Snow

Since we all have been experiencing so much hot weather, I thought it would be nice to share some winter photographs from the past. The following pictures were taken several years ago. I live in south western West Virginia. The past several years we have not experienced much snow; we may get 2 or 3 inches each winter. Each year we hear someone say, "I bet we're going to get a lot of snow this year because we haven't had much for a long time". Perhaps are lack of snow is part of the whole global warming effect.

During this snowfall we probably had well over a foot of snow.

The one thing I remember as a child, were the big icicles handing from the gutters. When I saw these icicles, I just had to get a picture.

Our neighbor's car was literally buried.

Here's another neighbor's snow monster.

Here's me showing off all my hard work.

And, what does one do when they are completely snowed in.
They barbecue!

Hope you enjoyed a walk back in time and hope you feel much cooler.

When I saw the name of the post, I looked at the date it was posted LOL!

My hubby was born in WV!

Until recently I lived on the west side of Michigan and we would gets tons of lake effect snow from Lake Michigan. Now we're south of Detroit and never get hit hard.

I love icicles. :)

Works for me....I feel cooler already. As to Southern gentlemen...children refer to them as Mr.Charlie or Uncle Jim-Bob, all women are Miss as you already know.

thinking cool thoughts.

Really good idea for a post, although I am pretty comfy in our A/C today. You are resonably close to my good friend Lazy Daisy or otherwise known as Kathy...She is in Virginia. Someday I would love to meet you too. Sandy
