Do you ever upload pictures for a post, get distracted and forget to post them? That is what happened with these pictures. They were taken the last time I was in Charlotte helping my daughter pack up their house. These pictures were taken in their new house with each of the kids dancing for joy in their bedrooms.

Temper Tantrums

Do you remember your first temper tantrum? I've been working on a scrapbook of my family and ran across the following picture which was taken in the mid 1930's. It's a picture of my Mom, Daddy, brother and sister. When I was maybe 3 or 4 years old I remember looking at this picture and asking "Where's me". Mom was unable to explain that I wasn't even a twinkle in Daddy's eye at that time. I didn't come along until 1947 when my brother was 15 and my sister 12. I remember being so mad that I folded and folded this picture. I didn't want it around since I wasn't in it. Boy was I a spoiled brat or what????? You would think I got my backside whipped, but I didn't.

Today when I ran across the photo I decided to try my hand at restoring the picture. I began my using my scratch removal tool with Paint Shop Pro.

That didn't look too bad, but I wondered if it would look better if I turned it into a black and white.

Then I started playing with the contrast, brightness, and other tools to try to make it more clear. I didn't like this at all.
Then I wondered how it would look with a hint of color.

This is all I'm going to do with it today. I'm brain dead! I think at least one of these will go into the scrapbook. Wasn't Mom and Daddy a handsome couple back then. It's strange seeing a picture of Daddy with hair. He was bald from as early back as I can remember. He did have one little swirl on top that I use to pin curl. He also let me paint his toe nails bright red. Yes, I was spoiled little girl.
