It's Looking LIke Spring

Today has been an absolutely perfect!!! The temperature has risen to almost 80 degrees with no humidity, lots of blue sky and sunshine. All my windows are open to take in the fresh air. I spent part of the afternoon trimming the shrubs. It felt so good to be outside and enjoying this perfect weather. Guess what I found peaking out from the ground. My day lilies!! This is a sure sign that spring is just around the corner.

I have a lot of yard work to do. We have pin oaks in the back yard and some of those leaves have fallen and there will be more very soon. I'm also wanting hubby to put in a raised bed in the backyard for a garden. I know its early to begin planting, but I would like to get the bed ready now so I can get my vegetables in the ground in May. It will most likely take hubby that long to build a raised bed. Men!!!! lol

Hope you are enjoying your Saturday and don't forget to SPRING ahead tomorrow!

Hi Linda,

We had the same weather here, and I had the windows open as well. Son Greg worked on cutting up a bunch of fallen limbs, and I was gone for a while. And guess what? I planted some lettuce and spinach today! They like cool weather, so I'm glad I got them in. Tomorrow may be rainy, but still warm.

Have a great Sunday!

Hugs,

Renie

Hi Linda, my gardener is my husband.. I hate yard work... He was outside today also and was trimming bushes..it was 80 here too , but the sandnats were out and biting !! I am allergic to them and get a red swollen bump whenever they bite me..

I brought myself a new camera today. It is a Fujifilm Finepix s1000 10mp digital camera..I hope it will take good pictures.. My Sony 7.2 mp camera was acting up after two years..

Have a great week-end with your hubby.. Hugs, Baba

Yes, yes, Linda. Spring is springing forth. I spent a lot of time outside today also. My hubby has been building a storage building that we so, so need. I helped him some on getting the door on and moving in all kinds of stuff and cleaning the back porch and sweeping the patio and now my back is killing me. I just can't take being on my feet all day. I'm glad you had a good day also. It was 80 on our thermometer.

I am glad that you are enjoying your 80 degree weather. Ours was in the 70's. Yeah, for lilies. Mine are up too.

We have also been having some nice weather here too, although our nights are still rather on the cool side of things...I too was out in the yard off and on helping my friend clean the yard up...it started off with just some sweeping and the next thing I know here we were transplanting as well as pruning.

I like your pretty banner.

What a change for us too. We went from snow earlier this week to temps in the 70's. I love it.
