Meet my newest grandbaby.
Josey Beth

She arrived at 4:31 a.m. on February 15, 2009 and weighed 7 lb. 12 oz and 21 inches long. Amber called me at 9:00 p.m. the night before to let me know they were headed for the hospital. Amber's Mom, Dad, Katie and I were at the hospital waiting for Josey to make her appearance. At one point the nurses thought it was a false labor. After a couple hours of observing her she went into full labor.

This is Brian, my son, with his daughter Josey.

This is Amber, the proud Mommy with her daughter Kati, the proud big sister.

Today is President's Day. What does President's Day mean to you? In looking through the local newspaper, one could easily conclude that the modern holiday was created by merchants, just so they could hold their annual Presidents' Day sales. If you're a non-traditionalist, and believe that Presidents' Day should, in fact, be used to honor all American presidents, then you'll enjoy this slide presentation.

Isn't she sweet with that teeny bow! Your DIL, big sister, and son look proud and happy.

I remember that President's Day was all about Lincoln and Washington whose birthdays are close. We used to get both days off, and then when Martin Luther King day came along, the two president's days were combined.

Oh Wow, I'm so jealous of all of her hair. My poor babies were cue balls. Loved the pictures of the big sister, mom, dad and baby. Congratulations on your beautiful grand daughter.

Congratulations on the beautiful little new addition to the family, Linda! How precious she looks with the little bow in her hair. And Mom, Dad and big sister all look proud and happy, not to mention Grandma! :-)

President's Day these days seem to be all about sales. Of course, the economy needs stimulating!

But I hate these one day sales, with all the frantic people pushing and shoving each other in the stores. I went out to eat with friends, instead. Have a great evening.

Hugs,

Renie

She's adorable! I loved seeing all the photos you shared today. As for President's Day ... I liked February better when we celebrated Lincoln's and Washington's birthdays on separate days ... when they were actually born on the 11th and 22nd respectively.
Hugs and blessings,
