Pumpkin Festaval

Friday my friend Jill and I went to the Pumpkins Festival.

I saw this photographer and wanted to go ask him about this shot.
I know he must have been creating something very special.
But, what??

Some folks were making Sorghum.
That a type of molasses.

Some were grinding meal. My friend bought some yellow corn meal
to make her delicious cornbread.

There were lots of vendors here in the food court.

We decided to eat light so we wouldn't feel as guilty
when we had a funnel cake later.
So we opted for a slice of pizza.

These next two pictures were from a few ladies who had a booth at our local flea market which just burned. They lost everything they had. They told us they were going to open a new store at a local shopping plaza. I sure hope they do well.

I do remember this sleigh was $65.

I thought their furniture was very unique.

That's all for this time.

I have a sled almost exactly like that one in my attic! It was mine in the 60's in Ohio.

This looks like a very fun festival. It's the thing I miss the most about living in Florida. They just aren't the same here.

Hugs,

Susan

What fun!!! That looks like a great festival

Sorghum!!! We used to make it!! IN this ugly smelly vat outdoors with an old tractor attached to a pulley going round and round. My Dad was always afraid my sister or I would fall in the hot vat of the stuff that was skimmed off as the sorghum was purified!! I have trouble with the smell of molasses to this day!!

Hi Linda,

What a fun festival. I love the pictures. They make sorghum around here as well. And funnel cakes, yum! Glad you and your friend had a great time.
Linda, I wanted to ask you about the Ruby gem, that one puts up for Ruby Tuesday. I just have mine in my files and upload it to blogger. But people can't click on it to take them to other ruby Tuesday posts. How do I do that? Is there a code? Sorry about being so dumb about this.

Hope you're having a great Monday.

Hugs,

Renie

Definitely looks like fun and I love the idea that ‘pizza’ is ‘eating light’ so you won’t feel guilty about the funnel cake … You’re my kind of thinker for sure! LOL
