Saturday Afternoon

Yesterday afternoon I was out doing errands when my son called to tell me Katie was wanting to come over to visit with me. Since I was already out, I told him I would stop by and pick her up. I told Brian and Amber to plan on staying for dinner when they pick up Katie.

After Katie and I got back to the house we colored a few pages, played with Barbies, ran around with CC. Then I suggested we go to Wal-Mart to see if we could find something fun. I don't have that many of her toys here at the house.

Katie thought that was a great idea. I was expecting her to want video games, a pool, or something girly. Instead she wanted a ball bat and ball. This particular bat and ball our soft so I didn't have to worry about my windows being knocked out.

I was surprised how good Katie was at hitting the ball and she was able to hit it across the yard and over the truck on the driveway. She's going to make a fine ball player.

Later I saw this little fellow sitting in our tree. I was only a couple feet away and the bird didn't move. I ran in to get my camera and he was still sitting there. This had to be his first attempt at leaving the nest.

I just happened to take a couple pictures of CC out in the garage. Here she is sitting pretty for me. When she does this she expects a treat.

After everyone left I was pooped! I'm not use to running after a 7 year old. Katie is such a sweet little girl.

Katie is such a pretty little girl. And have you noticed what shapely legs she has? The boys will have to be knocked off with a stick when she gets a little older.

Have a good week, Linda

You have a lovely granddaughter!! Fun to play just a little isn't it? I like playing but in this hot hot weather it does not make it a lot of fun!! smile. Your dog is a cutie. I always love pictures. Sandy

Linda,

Katie is a sweetie! Great to see her playing baseball. It's a great sport for kids, boys and girls.

What a great capture of the bird and of course your cute little dog. Do you know what kind of bird that is? I don't think I have ever seen that one before.

Have a great week!
